You will have worked as a business administrator or financial accountant in previous roles and be used to working symbiotically with creative teams. You are gifted problem solver who is listened to, trusted and respected. You know your way around legal documentation. You are known for your superior organizational skills, your zen-like demeanor and your meticulous attention to detail. You are also friendly, fun and a joy to work with. At least most of the time.

Your role will be overseeing Resn’s financial and business administration and reporting for the company across our studios Wellington and Amsterdam. You will be a key member of the operations team and integral to our growing business.

You will be based at Resn's global headquarters located in New Zealand’s capital city, Wellington. We look forward to welcoming you aboard. When can you start?

Responsibilities

Weekly

  • Cash forecasting, planning and management
  • Reconciling multiple accounts
  • Fortnightly Payroll
  • Staff leave management
  • Timesheet management
  • Project legal agreements (including client MSA’s)
  • Send all invoices to clients
  • Debtor management
  • Supplier invoice management
  • Filing receipts, bills and any other relevant paperwork
  • Supporting the Operations team and Directors
  • Project financial reporting and burndowns

Monthly/Quarterly

  • Budget & P&L management
  • Provisional Tax payments
  • GST returns
  • Salary / Revenue journals
  • Prepare monthly management and financial reports
  • Maintain the integrity of the balance sheet
  • Provide meaningful insight into the financials
  • Maintain and update the Fixed Assets register
  • Coordinate travel booking/management
  • NZ statistics surveys
  • New business activity log
  • Inter-entity business management – agreements, service fees, management fees, reconciling transactions

Annually

  • Maintain and administer Resn Insurances
  • Setup administration of companies where required
  • Implementing and streamlining business processes and finding efficiencies where possible

Requirements

  • Proven success as a business administrator or financial accountant
  • At Least 3 years in a similar role
  • Appropriate tertiary qualification
  • CA would be desirable
  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Experience working in the creative sector, digital production or advertising, is a nice to have, not a must have
  • Desire to grow and take on further challenges
  • Xero certified, or some experience working with Xero would be ideal but not essential
